Operating Systems : Operating systems are mainly interface between user and hardware which resides on the memory of the computer and also a permanent part of the system. It manages the computer programs or basic tasks like taking an input from the user or, sends output to the monitors. It also makes a log file of the system that resides on a memory .And also manages the functionality of all I/O devices like scanners and printers. It performs the entire basics tasks which are required by computer or user. Some examples of Operating Systems are Windows, Linux UNIX and Dos, Mac etc. In the Dos user interact with the operating system through a set of commands.
